Works in Progress

Hand Cups

The primary aim of this project is to prompt consumers to critically assess the value of contemporary designer brands like Balenciaga and Supreme. To achieve this objective, I explore the symbolism associated with hands as a representation of quality and craftsmanship, comparing it to these modern brands. This exploration includes examining the connotations related to hands, such as the common expression "they are eating out of my hands," which signifies the power dynamic between consumers and these influential brands. Furthermore, the imagery of drinking from one's hands taps into our primal and survival instincts, offering insight into the underlying desires these brands exploit to manipulate their extensive customer base. This comparison highlights the stark contrast between the enduring values of quality and craftsmanship embodied by hands and the allure of modern design brands. It encourages consumers to question the true worth of these brands.

Human Art

Creating wall art of abstracted human form made of flesh like silicone 3d printed bones. The concept behind the project is to humanise art and create a work which people can bond to as, art has in recent years been dehumanised at first with the removal of human form as the subject and now with the introduction of NFT removing art from the physical environment.
